Denver-based Virginia and Cody chose to buyout the Devil’s Thumb Ranch for their wedding in front of 150 friends and family. Their wedding had been postponed due to the pandemic, and they wanted to give their guests a very Colorado experience. Leading up the wedding ceremony, guests tried activities like archery, horseback riding and mountain biking. When a snowstorm rolled in, the ceremony moved inside to one of the ranch’s bar areas, already dressed for the cocktail hour. Guests then made their way to High Lonesome barn for the reception. It was filled with unique touches, like cozy sofas set before a fireplace, a custom camper-shaped photo booth that reflected their love of the outdoors, and a signature drink named for their pet pooch.
